Papagomo charged for seditious post on X

Controversial Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris who is better known as blogger Papagomo was charged for a seditious post against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong that was posted on X.

He pleaded not guilty after the charge was read to him before judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

He published the seditious statement under his account “sir_azri” on April 29.

Papagomo was charged under section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act 1948. If found guilty he can be facing a prison term of upto three or a fine of RM5,000 or both.

Bail was not offered by the deputy public prosecutor Khairul Azreem Mamat.
