Pakatan ups the ante on campaign trail

With one more week to go before Kuala Kubu Baharu votes, Pakatan Harapan is upping the ante on the campaign trail.

Since nomination day, the ruling coalition has been emphasizing on the personalised meet and greet approach.

“We want more personal engagement with the locals of Kuala Kubu Baru,” said Wong Siew Ki (Ph-Balakong).

Wong is also candidate Pang Sock Too’s campaign manager.

Pang emphasises her plans to deliver high-quality jobs, fix local roads and drains and enhance KKB’s eco-tourism industry as stated in her leaflet.

She is attempting to meet all of KKB’s 40,226 voters.

From tonight onwards, PH is switching gears to mega ceramah.

The first mega ceramah tonight would feature DAP secretary general Anthony Loke, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and AMANAH president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.

Pang is facing off Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut, PRM’s Hafizah Zainuddin, and Independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin on May 11.

The by-election was triggered by the passing of Kuala Kubu Baharu’s three-term incumbent Lee Kee Hiong on 21 March. Lee succumbed to cancer.

There are 40,226 voters. Of this, 21,480 are Malays, 12,268 Chinese, 6,362 Indians and 116 others.
