Netizens give Dr Mahathir a taste of his own medicine

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir got a taste of his own medicine when he put forth his divisive views on the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election results.

He said that Malays in Kuala Kubu Baharu are willing to be represented by non Malays.

He then goes on to claim the Malays are willing to have a non Malay prime minister.

“What’s wrong if we get a non-Malay prime minister? It is not wrong since that is what Malays want,” he said on X.

X user A_M_S pointed out that Mahathir opted to adopt Pakistani children instead of Malays.

“There is nothing wrong, it is your wish,” he said.

Another X user, LaPoca claimed that Mahathir was not even a Malay to begin with.

“You came from Kerala, India and ruled Malaysia for 22 years and guess what, you are not even a Malay to begin with.

“So, yes it is not wrong because that is what Malays want.”

Another X user MachaofKL countered Mahathir with the latter’s defeat in Langkawi during the last general election.

“In Langkawi, the Malays showed that they are willing to be represented by a clown. Why vote a former PM of 22 years. It is not wrong because that is what Malays want.”

In the by-election, DAP’s Pang Sock Tao of PH defeated Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut of PN with a majority of 3,869 votes in a four cornered fight to retain the semi-urban mixed constituency.
