Health Minister's press sec apologises over unprofessional action

Nik Azmi Nik Fathil who is the press secretary of Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly AHmad has apologised to the media fraternity over his unprofessional action during the ministry’s press conference held yesterday.

“I believe I owe an apology for the unfortunate incident earlier (yesterday). I am sorry (that such an incident) happened and I assure you (the media practitioners) it won’t happen again.

“We are always thankful, and I am always thankful for the services rendered by media practitioners to bring good reporting to the people of Malaysia,” he said via the statement.

Yesterday evening Putrajaya Media Club took Nik Azmi to task for being unprofessional.

Media practitioners had requested additional information regarding the statistics provided by the Health Ministry’s 2023 National Health and Morbidity Survey.

At this point Nik Azmi interrupted and answered a journalist’s question that was directed to the minister.
