Pahang PKR divisions to raise concerns over state appointments to party supremo

Pahang PKR divisions would be raising their concerns over the imbalanced appointments into state government linked companies and local councils to party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday.

The delegation would be made up of division chiefs, state youth chief and women wing chief.

Anwar would be meeting party delegations from Pahang, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

“We would be raising the issue of the imbalanced appointments directly to him. We have also notified party secretary general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail on this issue,” said a source to Harapan Daily.

It was previously reported that the appointments into state government linked companies and local councils in Pahang did not reflect PKR’s multiracial nature.

The appointments had taken place along with the appointment of four state assemblymen.

However the appointments into state GLCs and local councils did not include the Indian, Chinese, Orang Asli and the differently abled.

To add salt to the injury, there were leaders who were appointed as a councillor as well as into state linked companies.

The Pahang PKR deputy chief Rizal Jamin is one of the appointed assemblymen.
