X allows X-rated content

Micro blogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, has formally allowed adult and graphic content on its platform.

In its new guidelines, X stated explicitly allow users to share adult content “as long as it is consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behaviour.”

This new guideline update was first reported by Tech Crunch.

According to X, “sexual expression, visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression.”

Posting adult content is formally within the rules as long as it is labelled and not prominently displayed, using profile pictures or account banners.

Accounts that regularly post adult content will be required to automatically mark their image and video posts as sensitive content.

The X-rated content will be prohibited to children and adults who choose who chose not to view it.

This policy also is extended to AI-generated content, animations, cartoons, hentai and anime.

The new guideline would be a problem to governments that are against X-rated materials.
