PKR top leadership to discuss candidate nomination for Sungai Bakap

PKR top leadership would be discussing candidate nomination for the Sungai Bakap by-election this evening.

PKR vice president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the meeting would include party president, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and several other top leaders.

“This evening, there is a meeting with the president, election director Rafizi Ramli, Penang PKR chairman Nurul Izzah Anwar and several other leaders,” he said after officiating the 26th International Surveyor Congress, Berita Harian reported.

The Sungai Bakap seat is vacant following the death of its incumbent, Nor Zamri Latiff on 24 May.

Earlier today, Election Commission fixed the by election on 6 July and nomination 22 June.
