Motion to refer Wan Saiful to the Rights and Privileges Committee tabled today

The highlight on Day One of the second meeting of the third session of the fifteenth parliament session that begins today over a duration of 15 days is the motion to refer Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan (PN-Tasek Gelugor) to the Rights and Privileges Committee.

Wan Saiful had claimed during the previous session that the corruption charges that he is facing would be dropped if he supported Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The oral question session would see Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang (PN-Marang) question Foreign Affairs Minister regarding the government’s intention to review the two state solution approach in a bid to uphold the sovereignty of the Palestinians in Gaza.

Datuk Siti Aminah Aching (BN-Beaufort) raises the issue of combatting the Dark Side to the Communications Minister in view of the some who are offering online prostitution activities on social media platforms such as X and Telegram.

Ahmad Fadhli Shaari (PN-Pasir Mas) asking about government’s measures to ensure that the development of artificial intelligence technology aligns with religious values, national identity and the Malaysian law.

Two bills would be tabled for first reading. They are the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Dissolution) Bill 2024 and amendments to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia Bill 2024.
