Inappropriate question, Azalina rejects a question

Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reforms) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said rejected a question that was raised by Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee (PN-Beluran) on the grounds that it was inappropriate to be discussed in the Dewan Rakyat

“The question is inappropriate to be discussed in the Dewan Rakyat as it doesn’t meet the prerequisites of Point of Order 23(1) (g) of the Dewan Rakyat Standing Order because it is a question that manipulates that is likely to be prejudice to a case under trial and subjudice,” she said.

Ronald asked what stopped the federal government from implementing 40 percent of the demands by the state of Sabah under Article 112c and Part IV and V of the Federal Constitution. He also asked how does the federal government differentiates the 40 percent in comparison to the federal obligations to states under Article 109.
