Wan Ahmad Fayshal investigated over allegation on constituency funds

The police is investigating Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang) over his claims that the constituency allocation funds have been diverted to village heads who are supportive of the unity government.

On July 1, Wan Ahmad Fayshal also alleged that there is a question mark on whether the funds from Implementation Coordination Unit are audited, he said during a press confidence at the parliament lobby.

Machang district police chief Ahmad Shafiki Hussin said that the Bersatu politician is investigated under section 500 of the Penal Code for defamation and section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

“The Machang police have received five reports in the past two days,” he said, reported Malay daily, Berita Harian.

“It was made by affected parties who are unhappy over the allegations.” he added.
