Muhyiddin will cooperate on the probe, Home Minister confident

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail is confident that PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will give his full cooperation in the investigation over the latter’s statement that touched 3R issues during the Nenggiri by-election campaign.

“I just read a statement from my officer, and there is a specific paragraph where Tuanku (Tengku Mahkota of Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah) urged the police to expedite the investigation as Tuanku believes there are clear elements of sedition.

“I understand from the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain that a date has been set for former prime minister Muhyiddin to be called in.

“I believe he will have no trouble cooperating and the process will take place soon,” he told reporters after opening the state-level Merdeka Day celebrations at Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah here today.

Muhyiddin is scheduled to meet the police tomorrow.

On Aug 15, Muhyiddin disputed the 16th Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah’s capability in appointing a prime minister.

He made the claim in Felda Perasu on Aug 15.

Earlier today Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim called upon the police to probe Muhyiddin.

He also justified his father’s actions as the Agong.
