Muhyiddin questioned by the police

Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin met the police at his office at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority building to record his statement at 11am in connection with his speech during the Nenggiri by-election campaign in in Felda Perasu on Aug 15.

Present also was deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

The police initially was supposed to record Muhyiddin’s statement yesterday but postponed it to the unavailability of his lawyer.

A total of 30 police reports have been lodged against Muhyiddin under section 4(1) of the Sedition Act, section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, and section 504 of the Penal Code.

Muhyiddin had implied that that the 16th Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah erred by appointing Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the prime minister instead of himself even though he had the support of 115 MPs.

This resulted in the Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah issuing a royal rebuke and called for police action.
