Cyberbullying: Investigation papers against Shalini Periasamy to be handed to the DPP this week

Cheras police have confirmed that they have recorded the statement of B Sathiskumar aka Dulal Brothers in the prison for cyberbullying and the investigation papers would be handed over to the deputy public prosecutor this week.

“A statement from Sathiskumar has been recorded after obtaining approval from the prisons department.

“We would be forwarding our investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor this week,” said DSP Ahmad Zamri Jai who heads the Cheras Criminal Investigation Division to Harapan Daily.

He said this when he was asked on the updates related to the second cyberbullying report that was lodged against Shalini Periasamy and Sathis by Hema Subramaniam.

Shalini was previously probed and released on police bail.

Both are being investigated after a police report was lodged against them by Hema Subramaniam under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 509 of the same Code that criminalises the act of insulting the modesty of an individual.

Shalini was under police probe before being released on police bail but she denied it altogether.

Both Shalini and Sathiskumar were previously in the cyberbullying case of TikTok influencer A Rajeswary, otherwise known as Esha, that led to the latter’s death.
