IP on Shalini Periasamy still with the DPP
Cheras police confirmed that the deputy public prosecutor’s office are still going through the investigation papers (IP) against alleged cyber bully, Shalini Periasamy.
“The IP has been sent to the DPP. It is still with them,” said DSP Ahmad Zamri Jai who heads the Criminal Investigation Department at the Cheras district police headquarters.
This is over a case filed by Hema Subramaniam under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 509 of the same Code that criminalises the act of insulting the modesty of an individual.
Shalini and another convicted cyberbully Sathiskumar were previously implicated in the cyberbullying case of TikTok influencer A Rajeswary, otherwise known as Esha, that led to the latter’s death.
Hema had lodged a police report against both of them on Sept 30.
She was cyberbullied together with the late Esha.
In another development, Shalini recently claimed that she was a cyberbully victim.
She also said she is pursuing a suit against an entrepreneur who is known as Panimalar and social activist known as Tamil Easwaran.
Prior to that she also made ludicrous allegations against Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil before issuing a public apology.
