‘Flush your poem in the toilet, Saravanan’
Perak exco A Sivanesan has fired back at MIC deputy president Datuk M Saravanan by urging Saravanan to flush his poem into the toilet.
Sivanesan who is also Sungkai state assemblyman pointed out that the issue of mushrooming Hindu temples were not addressed by MIC when the party was in power.
“Simple question for Saravanan. There are temples build in government clinics including one in his own constituency Tapah Hospital. What has he done so far to solve that issue?” he said in a message to Harapan Daily
“These temples can be found in several hospital over the country. I am sorting that out in Perak.
“But can MIC deny the fact former MIC President was the Minister of Health (Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam) at one point of time? Then what action did MIC take to settle this issue? Temples are built on JKR land and that has turned into an issue now.
“Wasn’t former long time MIC President Tun Samy Vellu the Works Minister for almost 18 years?
“What the hell did he do then? So, my simple advice is throw the dirty poem into the toilet & flush it out. Ha haha ha.”

Saravanan who is also Tapah MP yesterday penned a poem in Tamil where he launched a broadside against Sivanesan for issuing a guideline for the setting up of Hindu temples.
The guidelines
He also took Penang exco S Sundaramoorty to task for announcing a five percent discount on residential and commercial units, specifically for the Indian Muslims.
Sivanesan also explained about the guidelines he introduced for Perak.
“All I said is there are sufficient number of Hindu Temples in the state. Individuals who want to build temples in the future can build it on their own land upon getting approval from local council.
“However, there can still apply for approval through proper channel if the land belongs to the government.
“As for the existing temples built on state government land without proper approval, the temples have been given notices through Section 425 of the National Land Code.
“I made it a point that these issues will be tackled via discussions.”
Section 425 of the National Land Code criminalises unlawful occupation of state land, reserve land or mining land.
Those found guilty can be fined RM10,000 or face imprisonment less than a year.
