US$10,000 compensation for injured SQ321 passengers
Singapore Airlines has offered US$10,000 (RM47,000) as compensation to passengers of the SQ321 who have sustained minor injuries during a turbulence on Flight SQ321 from London to Singapore.
One died and 30 were injured during the flight on 20 May. There were a total of 211 passengers.
“For those who sustained more serious injuries from the incident, we have invited them to discuss a compensation offer to meet each of their specific circumstances when they feel well and ready to do so,” said SIA in a Facebook post.
“Passengers medically assessed as having sustained serious injuries, requiring long-term medical care, and requesting financial assistance are offered an advance payment of US$25,000 (RM117,500) to address their immediate needs. This will be part of the final compensation that these passengers will receive.”
Additionally a full refund of the airfare would be offered to all passengers. In addition to that they would also receive delay compensation, reported Channel News Asia.
