Cyberbullying: Shalini in denial that she was detained

Shalini Periasamy who was recently implicated in the cyberbullying case of Hema Subramaniam denied that she was detained by the police.

She also did not mention that she was released on police bail.

In a TikTok video posted on Nov 23 at 3 am, she claimed that reports of her detention were rumours.

“There are rumours that I have been detained. I am not bothered about the public to those who called my parents to enquire my detention, I am at home.

“Safe and sound at home, I am not arrested or what. I don’t know where this people are getting this information.

She added that she is willing to cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.

She also claimed that some quarters were out to get her using the same methods in the case of the late Rajeswary Appahu aka Esha when Shalini received a slap on the wrist with a RM100 fine.

“Why play the same game and make yourself look stupid?” She said in a 6:50 minute clip.

Earlier on she also made similar allegations in a live TikTok session.

The claims that she made is in contradiction with a confirmation by Cheras police chief Aidil Bolhassan that Shalini was indeed detained for investigation and released on police bail.
