Losing with dignity? PN can’t even accept defeat
Padang Rengas Umno division chief Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz panned Perikatan Nasional Youth information chief Nadzir Helmi Azhar for likening PN’s defeat in Kuala Kubu Baharu to losing with dignity.
“This is proof that there is no dignity and they cannot accept defeat.
“If they still insist on a petition this is a sign that they are disappointed with this loss,” Nazri said, reported Astro Awani last night.
Nadzir had said so after Pas secretary general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan stating that the opposition coalition is considering to file an election petition if Pakatan Harapan won the by-election.
DAP’s Pang Sock Tao of Pakatan Harapan trounced Bersatu’s Khairul Azhari Saut of PN banner with a majority of 3,869 votes in a four cornered fight to retain the semi-urban mixed constituency of Kuala Kubu Baharu.
Umno supreme council member Datuk Puad Zarkashi also took Nadzir to task for making the claim.
“They lost without dignity. Their campaigns were full with slander and extreme personal attacks.
“They were short sighted and carried replicas of Umno-DAP and tapioca on nomination day.
“Their campaign had no dignity and this time it was rejected. Hence PN’s loss has no dignity,” he said on Facebook.
