Pahang Perikatan Nasional ayes probe on Muhyiddin
PN in Pahang has declared its support for a police probe to be conducted against its national chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin following the latter’s speech that implicated the 16th Agong in a bad light during the Nenggiri by-election campaign.
“Pahang PN fully supports the decree of the Pahang Regent regarding Muhyiddin’s speech in Nenggiri for a fair probe to be conduced over the matter,” said Pahang Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man in a statement today.
“We place our full confidence in the police force to conduct their duty. All the other parties need not create polemics and abide by the His Majesty’s decree,” he added.
Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah wanted the police (PDRM) to take action against PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin over the allegations made by Muhyiddin in Felda Perasu on Aug 15.
Muhyiddin had allegedly questioned the wisdom of the former Agong Al Sultan Abdullah who is also Pahang Sultan.
PN officially distanced itself from Muhyiddin yesterday.
PDRM had received over 20 police reports against Muhyiddin.
Muhyiddin was supposed to be questioned today by the police but the questioning has been postponed to tomorrow since the opposition leader’s lawyer is in Bangkok.
